Yeah right - here's what can help
You have an "I'll do it when I have time" problem.
When I asked you what your biggest LinkedIn challenge is, time came up more than anything else.
Finding the time. Being consistent. Getting lost in other tasks. Your actual job. Being a parent. ADHD. Too many tasks, too many fires to put out.
I know it feels impossible sometimes to find time to post and create.
From my experience, 3 things can help:
1. Having some sort of a reflection routine.
Once a week, sitting down with a coffee and reflecting on a few questions. How your week went, what you learned, what tools you used, what people asked you on calls.
From there you can schedule 1-2 posts for the next days. Then close the laptop and go back to your life. Don't spend hours scrolling for “inspiration” or commenting on other people's posts for hours because you heard from some guru that you should. Focus on creating.
You probably would be able to find 1-2 hours per week to sit down, reflect, and schedule a few posts to grow visibility / your business.
Be honest about where your time actually goes.
I used to feel like content ate soooo much of my time. Then I used a time tracking tool to actually gather a bit of data. Track my time. And I found that I was working MUCH less than I thought I was. A lot of my time was kinda wasted on scrolling and saving inspiration I'd never use.
2. Having a file with LOTS of inspiration for different content types, instead of always looking from zero, helps a lot.
Finding inspiration can be sooo time consuming. And it keeps you from doing the thing. Creating. Writing. Posting. Having a simple file with references is so so helpful when you're stuck. In my community I shared a file with 100+ example posts that performed well.
3. Having a strategy aka a plan of exactly what you can post, why and when.
Following a funnel-based approach to content helps. One-two posts per week to grow. One to build trust. One to convert people who trust you already. Having these “guardrails” helps to NOT overthink and get stuck in this “there are so many things I could be posting where do I even begin, I feel overwhelmed" spiral.
What can DEFINITELY help you actually do the posting thing consistently too is having other people who care and are on the same journey hold you accountable.
Keep shining!
